A Right Cheeky Ride - 6th May 2012
The weather was tops today, a bit on the cool side for May, but for the most part the sun was out and made for really good riding conditions.
Setting off from my doorstep the aim of the ride was to put in as much Cheeky riding as possible! The route was 13 miles in total and 12 of those miles was pure off road taking in a mix of footpaths, unmarked secret "locals only" tracks, bridleways across fields and through woods and some off piste thrown in for good measure. Some of the climbs were pretty damn steep and some of the descents were also steep and slippy and great fun.
I have been riding these trails for about 16 years now since moving to Ffynnongroyw from Stockport and after all those years some "NO CYCLING" signs have started appearing here and there in the last few weeks, the paths round here are always very quiet so I see no problem with using them on the bike.
